Divorce Management Consultation

Couples may participate jointly or individually. Consults are usually an hour and fifteen minutes and a four-consult model is recommended but not required. The intial meeting consists of a review of the concepts of divorce management and relevant materials. Subsequent consultations focus on issues ranging from building skills and addressing changing dynamics to developing a parenting plan suitable for you and your children (described below). Enhancing your ability to communicate, negotiate, make decisions and manage your stress can streamline your divorce and reduce its emotional and economic costs. It can also help prepare you to transition to the next phase of your life and to co-parent more effectively long after your divorce is finalized.
Parenting Plan DevelopmentCreate a parenting plan that takes into consideration the developmental, academic and social needs of your children as well as the availability, strengths and preferences of both parents. Collaborate in the best interests of your children, facilitate your transition to co-parenting, and establish a new family identity. Joint meetings that include both parents are recommended but not required.
